During my recent stay at Railway Square YHA, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious communal areas, both indoors and on the delightful outside deck, made it easy for my family and me to mingle with other travelers, sharing stories and tips about our Australian adventures. With its proximity to Sydney's major attractions like Chinatown and Darling Harbour, the location is both convenient and vibrant, making it perfect for a romantic escape or a familial getaway. As an environmental scientist, I particularly appreciated the emphasis on sustainability in this hostel, from the eco-conscious design of the heritage-listed building to the self-catering kitchen, allowing guests to prepare meals with less environmental impact. the very friendly staff were always available and eager to share local insights, which further enriched our stay. Railway Square YHA offers wonderful value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the heart of Sydney while maintaining a commitment to sustainable travel.
